Job Summary: The Home Care Technician uses sales, service and educational skills to ensure safe delivery, setup and use of equipment. This role educates patients on the proper use of equipment in a home setting.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid State of Oklahoma Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle report that meets Saint Francis Health System (SFHS) guidelines. Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazmat certification or Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (CDL), preferred.

Work Experience: None. Minimum 1 year related experience, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Home Care Equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Sound ability to maintain professional and courteous and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in adynamic work environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Delivers medically necessary home medical equipment. Educates patients on proper use of equipment in a home setting. Completes and acquires necessary documentation as required. Processes all deliveries in an accurate and timely manner. Performs routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with policies and procedures.

Decision Making: Independent judgment in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established.

Working Relationships: Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
