Job Summary: Provides high quality, cost effective advanced behavioral healthcare services through initial assessment, diagnosis and implementation of treatment in direct patient care. Provides clinical leadership to the organization by leading program development, research and skills training initiatives.

Minimum Education: Doctorate level Psychology degree: Ph.D., Ed.D., Psy.D.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid Oklahoma psychologist license under the Psychologist Act or documentation proof of reciprocity for Oklahoma state license.

Work Experience: Minimum three years of experience post licensure.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and various internet browsers as might be used in the preparation of reports and correspondence. Ability to provide effective, quality treatment in a cost-effective manner. Ability to work collaboratively, with excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Expert knowledge in research design and analysis as applied to by area of expertise. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Knowledge of clinical research literature and fluency in scientific information discovery.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provides direct, preventive, assessment, psychological testing, and therapeutic services to individuals whose growth, adjustment, or functioning is actually impaired or may be at risk of impairment. Identifies, coordinates, and completes appropriate patient assessments, treatment and discharge plans within established time frames according to established practices and regulatory standards. Completes all required documentation in accordance with regulatory standards for purposes of patient information exchange and reimbursement within established time frames. Provides effective interdisciplinary team participation and support through collaboration with healthcare providers and referral sources; communication with patients and appropriate family members. Serves as a consultant to other professionals. Participates in quality and process improvement activities, staff meetings, hospital training activities, and other meetings as required by department and patient needs. Participates in program development, conducts clinical training, and provides clinical consultation and clinical supervision. Evaluates overall effectiveness of therapeutic programs and recommends changes to increase effectiveness. Demonstrates expertise in area relevant to Laureate treatment population. Participates in community outreach initiatives.

Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.

Working Relationships: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise). Has input on performance evaluations but does not prepare or give. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with external customers. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at director level or above.
