Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager of Engineering Operations, the Supervisor of Engineering Operations is responsible for the Central Plant and Hospital with associated systems and controls.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: 1st Class Stationary Engineers License, City of Tulsa. State of Oklahoma and City of Tulsa Mechanical Journeyman's License, and Universal Refrigeration License
Work Experience: 8 - 10 years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to Supervise effectively and maintain appropriate scheduling. Effective interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read and understand how to interpret blueprints concerning mechanical systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Supervises the engineering operations for the hospital, associated systems, and controls. Assists in developing plant operation components of operating and capital budgets. Assists in project activities involving mechanical systems. Reads and understands how to interpret blueprints concerning mechanical systems. Devises and implements energy conservation activities. Coordinates the training of operators. Supervises stationary engineers.
Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.
Working Relationships: Direct Supervision of others - No. of people supervised: (15). Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
