Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid CDL Class B with appropriate endorsements

• Ability to pass required bus driver training and performance test

• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations

• Strong communication and ability to manage student behavior

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a school bus while following all traffic laws and district policies

• Transport students to and from assigned routes and authorized stops

• Maintain order and discipline on the bus

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly

• Keep accurate records of routes, incidents, and inspections

• Communicate effectively with transportation staff and school personnel

• Ensure a clean, safe environment for all passengers

Work Environment:

• Extended periods of sitting while driving

• Exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and vehicle vibrations

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and assist in emergency situations if needed
