Must demonstrate knowledge & applicability of federal, state and local laws, regulations, and standards as they apply to the services we perform. This includes HIPAA security and privacy laws.

Must complete all mandatory and required trainings, on-time, upon orientation and annually thereafter.

Most be able to use our electronic medical record system. This work is repetitive, requires long periods of sitting and/or standing and typing and must be done daily.

Must be able and eligible to drive an agency vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and pass a MVR.

Must be able to pass an OSBI background check.

Must be able to move up to 50 pounds.

Must be willing to perform other duties as requested by your immediate supervisor or members of the agency’s Leadership Team.

Must have a high school diploma or GED and lived experience.
Essential Job Functions

Models recovery and wellness by being a living example that recovery is possible.

May collect information about the people we serve through initial screening and registration.

May collect basic information for eligibility and explains rights, responsibilities, treatment advocates, and all aspects of confidentiality.

Assists those we serve in learning coping skills and maintain community tenure.

Guides clients into the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
-
Assists in the development and implementation of service plans and collaborates with other staff and clients in goal setting and discharge planning.

Assists clients in orientation to CAN.
-
Facilitates social and recreational activities, encouraging client participation to promote rehabilitation.
-
Can demonstrate knowledge in the role trauma plays in recovery and provides trauma informed, gender sensitive, age appropriate, culturally competent, and person-centered treatment.

Can dialogue with the people we serve about their view of recovery and what that means to them and how to utilize those skills in their daily lives.

Conducts and records morning / evening community meetings and records the content.

Assists with the development of effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.

Assists clients in establishing personal goals for success and objectives to meet them.

Empowers clients by promoting autonomy, self-direction, and self-advocacy.

Facilitates education based self-help and other types of mutual support groups.

Assist in the development of WRAP, Recovery or Wellness plans.

Support clients with developing recovery capital by identifying meaningful roles, building social skills and integrating into community support systems.

Can demonstrate knowledge and practice of effective crisis diversion skills.

Can demonstrate a working knowledge and skills in the following, at a minimum: developmental life span; State laws for reporting abuse and neglect; safety planning; and service planning.

Understands case management / care coordination and the referral, linkage, and advocacy process.

Is committed to utilizing evidenced based practices and interventions.

Inventories all personal items of the client upon admit and documents.

Assists with visitation and phone privileges, if needed.

Ensures that the CAN unit is clean and safe for both staff and clients.

Can dialogue with the people we serve about their view of recovery and what that means to them and how to utilize those skills in their daily lives.

Responds to crisis calls and make referrals as needed.

Must become familiar with resources across the state to assist with treatment and discharge.

Conducts 15-minute checks / one-on-one checks / and / or line-of-sight checks and records.

May assist in the preparation of meals and documents meal / snack / liquid consumption as requested by the nursing staff.

Assists in re-directing / calming upset clients using agency approved techniques.
