We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our night shift team in a clinical care setting serving adult residents. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care. This position plays a key role in supporting nursing staff and ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Accurately document medication administration and report any adverse reactions or changes in resident condition.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort care.
- Communicate effectively with nurses and other staff regarding resident care needs.
- Perform routine rounds and monitor residents throughout the night for safety and wellness.
- Maintain proper storage and security of all medications and supplies.
- Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication carts, records, and work areas.
Qualifications:
- Active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) license in the State of [Insert State].
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or clinical environment preferred.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Dependable with a strong attendance record.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and stay alert during overnight hours.
Schedule:
- 12-hour Night Shift (full-time and part-time options may be available).
- Shift differential pay available.
