Position Purpose:

The role of the Process Improvement Analyst includes using data and insights, first-hand immersive experiences, research to quantify the needs, wants and behaviors of both PCC and DC partners and to identify opportunities to that improve the overall brand experience.

The Process Improvement Analyst will also be responsible for contributing to a platform for cross-team collaboration, clearly identify areas that are impacting partner and customer touchpoints and present to leadership team with insightful results. This position requires a drive for solutions and associated results, a passion for the pet health and wellness industry, and the aptitude to learn, lead and collaborate with partners at all levels.

Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to communicate and document opportunities, potential solution options, associated costs, pros, cons and make a recommendation to leadership

· Design and manage continuous improvement and long-term process & experience improvement initiatives that are well-received by the company

· Coordinate the operational aspects (people, process, technology) of ongoing business initiatives and serve as a liaison between many cross functional partners such as store operations, merchandising, supply chain and IT.

· Ability to work with third party vendors providing Petco with subscription-based services and manage complete coordination & communication between the two channels

· Ability to extract data from heterogeneous sources to build relevant datasets and help the team to work through complex problems by leveraging data analytics to identify basic trends & provide actionable insights in clear & concise manner

· Partner with Program Managers, DC Managers and Store Liaisons within the team & assist them with building & maintaining weekly business reports allowing the team to action on insights & drive key program KPI’s

· Create basic process documentation and resources as a deliverable to complete each project

· Facilitate successful change management and develop strong relationships across Petco that simplify rapid improvements impacted by various projects results

· Develop strong relationships across Petco that facilitate rapid improvements

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

· Leverages and shares best practices on supporting tools and business management rhythms to ensure consistency and success across the team.

· Leads by example, champions and supports key strategic initiatives and performance goals.

Nature of Supervision

Self-motivated with the ability to manage semi-independently with a focus on continuous improvement and business results.

Supervisory Responsibility

Ability to lead cross functionally with no direct reports

Education and Experience

· Problem Solving: Strong at issue identification and problem-solving

· Soft Skills: Talented at developing business relationships

· Industry Experience: Strong sense of urgency a must; ‘Athlete’ mentality

· Project Management: Experience coordinating projects a plus

· Leadership management: Ability to swiftly adapt to, develop collaborative relationships with others

· Software: Familiarity with relevant software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Project (or similar); Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Workflow tools (Visio or similar), SQL understanding is desirable

· Education & Additional Qualification:

2 – 4 years of experience in data analysis

2+ years of data visualization using tools like Looker, Tableau, etc…

2+ years of data querying languages SQL

o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related academic field, or the equivalent of such a degree

o Advanced degree and / or CAPM certification is a plus
