Job DescriptionJob Title: School Bus DriverReport to: Director of TransportationDepartment: TransportationNumber of days: 176 DaysPosition Summary: Under close supervision, transport pupils, faculty and other approved riders between designated points and school/activity trips; maintain order; adhere to traffic and district safety rules.Qualifications/Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalency; valid Oklahoma Driver's License; skill in driving a school bus; knowledge of laws/regulations and district policies; ability to gain cooperation/maintain discipline; pass required bus driver’s course; follow oral/written instructions; meet physical/essential duties.Duties and Responsibilities: Obey traffic laws/safety regulations; maintain student discipline per procedures; document conduct issues; perform daily pre-trip inspections and report issues; maintain accurate route descriptions and follow schedules/stops; pick up/discharge only at authorized stops; report delays and use two-way radio professionally; report accidents promptly and complete reports; adhere to district policies and handbook; keep bus clean; maintain required licenses; attend meetings/trainings; promote positive image; maintain safe environment; perform other duties as assigned.
