Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mechanical Project Engineer to support project and sales efforts across a variety of industrial applications. This role is responsible for designing mechanical systems, supporting project execution, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to contribute to both engineering and project management functions.
Essential Functions:
- Design mechanical and HVAC systems using best engineering practices and calculations.
- Create and review technical drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections, and installation verification.
- Assist with estimating, proposal development, and cost tracking.
- Support QA/QC processes and coordinate with structural engineering as needed.
- Monitor project milestones, budgets, and deliverables.
- Participate in kickoff meetings, safety planning, and fabrication coordination.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a construction or industrial environment preferred.
- AutoCad, Revit, and Navisworks experience a plus
- Union and mechanical contracting experience a plus.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and industrial ventilation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Procore and Salesforce.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities.
