Position Description

POSITION TITLE: Computer Technology Technician

FLSA: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three years related experience and/or formal training dealing with technology, internet connection, computer operations, or tech communications.
  • Experience with student information systems is considered a plus.
  • Must be able to interact properly with personnel and students.

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology / Superintendent/

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month employment (261 days).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Follow work schedule as written or directed.

  2. Install, diagnose, maintain, update and repair hardware and desktop software owned by Fort Gibson Schools, as required.

  3. Preventive maintenance of computers, i.e. virus scanning, disk cleanup, defrag, etc.

  4. Assist with maintenance of security systems, energy management systems, phone systems, and copiers.

  5. Assist with the maintenance of inventory of all district owned technology equipment.

  6. Other duties as assigned by the Technology Director.
