Position is located at 701 S Main Street, Joplin, Missouri.

Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with additional hours as needed.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant 1

The Administrative Assistant 1 at Arvest greets customers and visitors, directs them to the proper department and notifies other associates of their presence. Their primary accountability is to assist the branch or department with the flow of customers and phone calls. The Administrative Assistant 1 provides exceptional customer service and clerical support, ensuring efficient daily operations.

What You’ll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Greet customers and other visitors, answer questions and route to the proper department or personnel.

• Answer telephone lines; take accurate and complete messages and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.

• Keep the lobby/department area neat and clean to project a professional image.

• Transcribe and type letters, memos, reports, etc., for various personnel in the bank/department as requested.

• Provide routine clerical support as requested.

• Maintain various managers and department calendars as requested.

• Assist customers and visitors as needed while ensuring all security measures are followed.

• Attend various meetings, record, type and distribute minutes.

• Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.


    Responsibilities:

    Required Toolbox for Success:

    • High School or General Education Diploma (GED).

    • 4 months of work experience.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.

    • Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

    Preferred Toolbox:

    • Banking or office experience

    Skills: Reliability, Professionalism, Knowledge Retention & Recall, Independence

    Competencies: Customer Service, Time Management, Verbal Communication, Detail Oriented, Reliability

    Physical Demands:
