Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Hardscape Sales Representative that will cover Durham and East York region.

Reporting to the Vice President, Sales and Hardscape, the Sales Representative will be responsible for meeting sales targets in his/her territory by servicing existing accounts and seeking out new opportunities with industry professionals.

Job Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will develop and maintain ongoing relationships with customers by assessing their needs, providing technical assistance, following up on projects, providing after sales service and negotiating agreements. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for updating the companies CRM, developing their network, participating in industry events as well as other sales and promotional activities.

  • Customer Engagement & Support – Ensure presence and visibility with customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, installers and landscape designers
  • Assess customer needs and provide tailored technical assistance
  • Educate customers on proper installation of products
  • Deliver exceptional after-sales service and manage customer claims
  • Sales Operations – manage & grow sales through strategic account planning and process
  • Monitor and support new construction projects
  • Schedule and conduct client meetings
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Market Development (prospecting) – identify market gaps and develop plans for strategic growth
  • Participate in trade shows, dealer and showroom events
  • Stay informed about competitor activities
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in building products
  • Strong communication, prospecting, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel overnight occasionally

Compensation

  • Annual base salary of $65,000-$75,000 with annual earning potential being between $110,000-$120,000
  • Commission plan
